Participants may bring their course materials (course plan, syllabus, etc.) if they wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Explore effective methods to structure your courses and engage your students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop has been designed to meet the needs and concrete questions of professors, MERs and lecturers (outside the medical curriculum) who wish to take a step back from their teaching with a view to improving it, or develop a new teaching with a view to brining changes to a course or developing a new one. It will help you clarify your own vision of teaching and learning at university and apply these principles to your teaching project (existing course, course to be modified, or entirely new course), regardless of its format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training content is based on the book <strong>Course Design<\/strong> and on the associated constructive alignment canvas. This canvas will be presented and used throughout the training as the guiding framework of the workshop. It can then be reused independently to analyse and further develop an existing course. This diversity enriches exchanges and allows participants to discover practices developed in other disciplines. He has led the Unil Teaching Support Centre since 2012. Drawing on his extensive experience as a pedagogical advisor, he designs and implements institutional strategies to support teaching and learning, with a focus on instructional design and the assessment of learning. His work focuses on the development of innovative pedagogical formats, with a particular interest in interdisciplinarity, project-based learning, and fieldwork. Through courses such as \u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epfl.ch\/education\/educational-initiatives\/discovery-learning-program-2\/interdisciplinary-projects\/chic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CHIC<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb and other projects, he promotes an active and participatory approach, incorporating group design challenges and user testing. She works to promote a quality culture at Unil, integrating the recognition of pedagogical practices and the professional development of teachers. Through evaluation systems and tools she has co-developed, she aims to align the needs of teachers with institutional expectations, while ensuring confidentiality and fostering constructive feedback. Previously a scientific collaborator on the assessment of learning at the University of Geneva, she has been supporting Unil teachers since 2015 in the development and recognition of their pedagogical practices. A member of the Education &amp; Training Observatory (OBSEF), contributing to the construction of scientific knowledge in education and training, she regularly presents at conferences (QPES, ADMEE-Europe, AIPU, etc.) and in publications such as <em>P\u00e9dagogies en pratique<\/em>.<\/p><ul class=\"uagb-team__social-list\"><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-team uagb-team__image-position-left uagb-team__align-left uagb-team__stack-tablet uagb-block-f43736f1\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"uagb-team__image-crop-circle\" src=\"https:\/\/enseigner.unil.ch\/ressources\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cecile-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" height=\"100\" width=\"100\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><div class=\"uagb-team__content\"><h4 class=\"uagb-team__title\">Dr C\u00e9cile Mathou<\/h4><span class=\"uagb-team__prefix\">Pedagogical Advisor at the CSE &#8211; Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne<\/span><p class=\"uagb-team__desc\">C\u00e9cile Mathou, who holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Montreal, has been a pedagogical advisor at the Unil Teaching Support Centre since 2023. In particular, she helps teachers to design and implement projects supported by the Pedagogical Impulse Fund (FIP), aimed at developing new teaching and learning approaches. She also supports international teaching projects (e.g. Blended Intensive Programmes).
